Ride For 9/11 :: a ride for honor :: September 11, 2011

I would like to say Thank You for letting me ride with you guys when you were coming through Wood River on your way to the East Alton Fire house. I didn't want to at first but when most of you were telling me to join, it was hard to pass up. I am very glad that I did. Keep up the good spirits and attitudes and have a safe journey!! Hey Guys! I was the driver of the School bus that honked and over the external speaker said "thanks". It was tough having to watch you guys doing this (first I'd heard of it was when I got to read the back of your shirts!) and not be able to stop and at least applaud! I am SO proud of you guys for the MONUMENTAL undertaking. No one will ever forget where we were that day. I was teaching Science at Cuba High School that fateful morning, and the surge of patriotism was exciting. We try our best to keep it alive. I told the kids on the bus that morning when we passed you that you deserved to be honored for what you were doing. I just wanted you to know I haven't forgotten your brothers and sisters who died in the line of duty and I have nothing but the highest honor for you all and what you do DAILY for the city of LA....and especially what you are doing for America right now. Godspeed and safety my brothers, and I pray the hills aren't too tough and the flats aren't too long.

Ride For 9-11 4 Man Volleyball Tournament

Come join us for our Ride For 9-11 4 Man Volleyball Tournament. Located at the Volleyball Courts on 22nd Street, Hermosa Beach, CA. $150 entry fee for each team. All teams receive 4 T-shirts plus gift bags and water. Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Recommended parking at Hermosa beach pier parking structure. Come enjoy the fun!!!
