Thanks to those of you who made the trip to Huntington Beach! We raised $1100 through everyone’s generous donations. Special thanks goes out to the LA Co guys, LA City Fire Stations 80, 60, 67 and all our friends and family that came out to show their support.
Pancake Breakfast at LAFD FS 69 • 4-23-11
This was a great event at LA City Fire Station 69 in the Pacific Palisades on a beautiful Saturday morning, organized by Jorge Ostrovsky (our treasurer) and Mike Ketaily, both from FS 69 B Shift. Over 700 people from the community came out to enjoy pancakes, sausage and coffee for breakfast. Kids came to meet Smokey the dog and climb all over the fire engines behind the station. Riders were on hand to discuss their efforts in fundraising and training, and a silent auction was held in the racquetball court with lots of great items including dinners at Fire Stations 69, 23, and 37, a ride on Fire Boat 2 at Station 112, and 2 great cruising bikes. Overall, the event brought in over $12,000 from donations at the door, t-shirt sales and silent auction proceeds. Wow!! Thanks to Fire Station 69 for allowing us to take over their station for the morning, as well as everyone who attended or made a donation.
Saddle Ranch Night at Universal City Walk • 4-14-11
What a great night in Hollywood!! With nearly 30 attendees, including local Congressman Tom LaBonge, this night was a huge success put on by rider and Vice President Scott Smith. There were brightly colored drinks and great BBQ (it is Saddle Ranch, after all), and Scott raised over $500 towards his personal fundraising goal. Adam Van Gerpen was on hand to photograph the event, and Congressman LaBonge gave a short speech, as well as a certificate denoting the Ride for 9-11 as an event sanctioned by the City of Los Angeles.

This was an awesome networking event for the Ride for 9-11.
Sharkeez Night
We had a great turn out at our 1st fundraiser in Hermosa Beach at Sharkeez!!! Approximately 60 people showed up to show their support. Here are a few pictures of that VERY fun night!
